Are you ready to celebrate? Thomastown’s much-loved Ricotta Festival is back! Now in its sixth instalment, this year promises to be our biggest yet.

At the heart of it all is our legendary Ricotta Calda, made fresh and served warm at the festival. With over 25 stallholders, you can feast your way through Italy with spaghetti tossed in a 40kg Grana wheel, wood-fired Pizza Napoletana, Sicilian charcoal BBQ, cannoli, gelato and more. Be sure to explore our marketplace too, featuring local artisans, handcrafted goods and fresh produce.
Entry into the festival via Coventry St driving ramp. Cecil St walking ramp exit only. Parking: The York St Carpark is located at 187 York St and has 75 spaces. As the event will be held in the rooftop carpark, there will be NO vehicle access. Patron entrance via Coventry St rooftop carpark driving ramp. Wheelchair accessible parking bays are located in the following locations around the Market: Six (6) along York Street Two (2) along Coventry Street One (1) in the York Street Carpark More information on parking HERE. Public Transport: Bus: National Bus Route No. 236 runs from Garden City in Port Melbourne, via Bay Street to South Melbourne Market. It runs every 25-35 minutes on weekdays only. Tram: From Melbourne CBD; no. 96 (stop 127), no. 12 (stop 127), no. 109 (stop 125), no.1 (stop 25) The South Melbourne tram stop (96 line) is serviced by low floor trams and is a level access stop. The festival will go ahead rain, wind or shine – unless weather conditions become dangerous and pose a risk to safety. In that case we will reschedule the event to a new date.
We expect the event to sell out ahead of time, hence, no tickets will be available on the door.
There is no reserved or allocated seating at the Burrata Festival. Large sharing tables are available throughout the event.
In accordance with Food Safety Victoria and the Food Act (1984), no animals, except for guide dogs and assistance dogs, are permitted at the Burrata Festival.
This is an event for all ages. Entry is free for children under 12 with a corresponding ticket. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. Alcohol may only be consumed by persons over the age of 18.
This festival is accessible to all patrons. Entry and exit via walking ramps on Coventry St and Cecil St. There is one accessible parking space in the York Street carpark and six accessible parking spaces along York Street. The South Melbourne tram stop (96 line) is serviced by low floor trams and is a level access stop. Access ramps are available. Refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the festival upon request. Please email your refund enquiry to events@thatsamorecheese.com.au. Your request will be assessed by the That’s Amore Cheese team in line with our ticketing terms and conditions.
