Ricotta Delicata is a traditional fresh cheese produced from whey left in the making of mozzarella (Ricotta translates to “re-cooked”). It has a fine, smooth texture with a delicate sweet flavour. Because of the use of whey produced during the cheese making process it has a low fat content yet maintains its creaminess. Perfect for sweet and savoury dishes, and kids love it!
Traditional ricotta is firmer than ricotta delicata.
