Squacquerone is an uncured fresh cheese typical of Romagna. The name originates from dialect squaquaron, indicating the high “watery” of this cheese that, being very soft, tends to assume the shape of the object in which it is contained. Very similar to stracchino or crescenza, it is made from farm fresh cows milk.
Being a super creamy product it easily spreadable and great on bread or piadina.
